Maxime lives and works in Paris.
In his documentary work, he deals with our relationship with the living world: our ability to adapt to the upheavals of our environment and the evolution of our living habits imposed by these new conditions. Thanks to a delicate use of the photographic medium he takes the liberty to mix documentary with fiction and to blur the temporalities of the narratives to let our imagination invest these stories, reflect and carry out a sensitive introspection about our own selves.

His latest work on megafires, “Paradise“, was nominated for the Leica Oskar Barnack Awards and Prix Pictet in 2021 and awarded the CNAP documentary photography grant as well as the Special Mention of the LNP Prize (Les Nuits Photo) in 2021. He is a 2022 finalist for the renowned Prix Swiss Life à 4 mains, Friends of the Albert Kahn Museum Grant, Prix Yves Rocher and Prix Caritas. He won in 2022 the First Prize of the Passe-Partout Prize and the Open Call Fotografia Europea as well as the Prix Maison Blanche.

Maxime is a member of the editorial committee of Revue EPIC as a photographer expert on environmental issues. He holds a degree in engineering from Ecole Centrale (France), Columbia University (USA), the University of Cambridge (UK) and a degree in photography from Gobelins, Paris.
